Тhe professor of the Department of Criminal Law and Criminology of OSUIA, Lieutenant Colonel of the Police Hanna Sobko, took part in the international conference on the training of law enforcement officers of CEPOL on the topic «Crisis negotiations – areas of application, concepts and experience gained».

The event took place in the city of Vienna (Austria) on the basis of the Police Academy of the Federal Ministry of Internal Affairs of Austria and gathered representatives of the world's leading law enforcement structures of – police units of Germany, the USA, Poland, Greece, Croatia, the Netherlands and other countries.

During the conference, the participants considered the tactical and psychological aspects of crisis negotiations, international cases of the release of hostages, the peculiarities of the interaction of negotiation groups with tactical units, as well as modern tools for assessing risks in emergency situations.

It is important to note that Hanna Sobko acted as a co-rapporteur, focusing on the role of crisis negotiators in the processes of de-escalation of conflicts, the peculiarities of communication strategies in critical conditions and the importance of training specialists of the relevant profile.
