From June 6 to 14, Lieutenant Colonel Hanna Sobko, a professor in the Department of Criminal Law and Criminology at Odesa State University of Internal Affairs, visited Berlin (Federal Republic of Germany) to participate in a regional course on combating organized property crime, organized by CEPOL as part of the TOPCOP project with the support of the European Union.

Representatives of law enforcement agencies from EU member states, experts from EMPACT and Europol, and specialists in investigating organized property crime were involved in the course.

The aim of the course was to enhance participants’ professional competence regarding current trends in organized property crime, familiarize them with new methods of committing crimes, develop their skills in applying international cooperation mechanisms, and prepare proposals for training programs and instructional materials on combating organized property crime.

As part of the course, a study visit was also organized to the Berlin Criminal Investigation Department (CID Berlin).
