Cadets of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs worthily represented the educational institution at the championships of Ukraine in French Boxing Savat and Kickboxing WAKO, demonstrating a high level of training and sportsmanship.

The Ukrainian French Savate Boxing Championship took place in Brovary, Kyiv region. Among the adults, the winners were fourth-year cadets: in the 80 kg weight category – Valentyn Kramarenko (the ERI No. 1), and in the 65 kg category – Mykhailo Bihdan (the ERI No. 4).

Among the juniors, the following secured podium places: Maksym Obidchenko (the ERI No. 2) – II place in the 80 kg weight category, Mykhailo Slyva (the ERI No. 2) – III place in the 75 kg category, Oleksandr Marynkevych (the ERI No. 4) – III place in the 70 kg category, and Nikita Soronin (the ERI No. 4) – II place in the 65 kg category.

The Ukrainian WAKO Kickboxing Championship for adults took place in Lutsk, where the university’s cadets also achieved commendable results. Roman Pshenychnyi (the ERI No. 1) took II place in the 81+ kg weight category in the low-kick section. Roman Savchuk (the ERI No. 1) took III place in the 63.5 kg category in the full-contact section.

Mykyta Mashukov (the ERI No. 4) won I place in the 71 kg weight category in the kick-light section and II place in the light-contact section. Ivan Hnatiuk (the ERI No. 4) took IV place in the 63.5 kg weight category in the full-contact section.

The cadets’ performances once again demonstrated their high level of physical fitness, determination and drive to win.
