Pursuant to the order of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine dated August 24, 2022 No. 741 “On the resumption of studies in the post-graduate education system of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in 2022”, on November 4, the Department of Aviation and Aviation Search and Rescue held the graduation of the group of trainees for the positions of external pilots (operators) of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) of territorial bodies and units under the central control of the State Emergency Service.

During training sessions students:

 acquired knowledge and skills in the basics of aerodynamics and air navigation, aviation meteorology, air law;

got acquainted with the regulatory and legal framework for the use of UAVs, the design and operation of UAVs of various manufacturers, their technical characteristics and capabilities, features of the software;

mastered the skills of safe UAV control;

learned how to process and use material shot by UAV.

The students noted the focus of the educational process on bringing the training of specialists in line with the professional qualification requirements involved in the monitoring and liquidation of emergency situations and the formation of motivation for continuous self-improvement of professional competence.

The graduates expressed their sincere gratitude to the entire scientific and pedagogical staff of the Department of Aviation and Aviation Search and Rescue of the Institute.
