During the orientation camp for first-year students at Odesa State University of Internal Affairs, significant attention is paid to psychological well-being, emotional comfort, and creating a supportive environment to help students adapt to the demands of their studies and service.

Viktoriia Dubiniak, head of the Department of Psychological Support, introduced first-year students to the current applications of VR technology in psychological practice. In particular, they had the opportunity to try out VR headsets as a tool for emotional release and psychological relaxation.

During the session, special attention was paid to fostering a friendly atmosphere and building teamwork. As part of the psychological exercise “Two Truths and a Myth,” the freshmen had the opportunity to get to know one another better, discover shared interests, and take the first steps toward building mutual trust.

Such activities promote successful adaptation, the development of emotional self-regulation skills, team building, and the development of psychological resilience, which are important components of the professional training of future law enforcement officers.
