А round table dedicated to current issues of preventing corruption in the security and defense sector and law enforcement agencies was held at the Odesa State University of Internal Affairs.

The event was opened by the Rector of the university, Police Colonel Viacheslav Davydenko. A welcoming address was delivered by Anatolii Fodchuk, Head of the Corruption Prevention Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine.

Representatives of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, the National Police of Ukraine, the National Agency on Corruption Prevention, the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office, the Odesa Regional Prosecutor’s Office, the Main Department of the State Migration Service of Ukraine in Odesa Region, the NATO–Ukraine Building Integrity Programme, as well as academic and teaching staff joined the discussion of the key issues raised during the round table.

Staff members of higher education institutions under the management of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, along with representatives of MIA system structures from the Odesa, Mykolaiv, and Kherson regions, also participated in the event online.

During the meeting, participants discussed the development of a culture of integrity, the improvement of anti-corruption mechanisms, and ways to enhance the effectiveness of risk management.

The event became an important platform for professional dialogue, exchange of experience, and the development of practical solutions in the field of corruption prevention.
