The film tells the story of five Ukrainian service members – four veterans with prosthetic limbs and one active-duty servicewoman – who successfully climbed Mount Kilimanjaro (5,895 m). The ascent became a symbol of strength of spirit, overcoming pain, brotherhood, and rehabilitation after severe injuries.

The heroes of the film are:
Roman “Dobriak” Kolesnyk,
Vladyslav “Shatia” Shatilo,

Mykhailo “Grizzly” Matviiv,
Oleksandr “Ragnar” Mikhov,
Olha “Vysota” Yehorova.

A particularly meaningful moment of the presentation was the presence of one of the film’s protagonists veteran of the Russian-Ukrainian war Oleksandr “Ragnar” Mikhov. Cadets had the opportunity to speak with him in person and ask questions about the filming process and the expedition itself.

“Second Wind” is more than just a film. It is about believing in oneself, about the strength of people, and about the fact that even after the most difficult trials, it is possible to conquer new heights.
