A working meeting between University Rector Viacheslav Davydenko, First Vice Rector Maksym Korniienko, and representatives of the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) was held recently at Odesa State University of Internal Affairs.

The UNODC delegation included: Yurii Marchenko, UNODC National Project Coordinator; Elisabeth Seidl (Austria), UNODC Program Coordinator; and Jennifer Sarvari Bradford (Austria), UNODC Program Coordinator. Serhii Kropyva, Deputy Head (Chief) of the Odesa Regional State (Military) Administration for Digital Development, Digital Transformation, and Digitalization (CDTO), also participated in the event.

During the meeting, the parties discussed opportunities for deepening cooperation in the fight against organized crime and corruption.

In addition, the UNODC held consultations at OSUIA on the topic of corruption and its impact on the development of organized crime. University staff, representatives of state authorities and civil society organizations (SAP, NABU, ACC, UNDP, HACC, OPG, MIA, NPU, NACP etc.) were involved in the events. The main goal of these events was to raise awareness and foster an anti-corruption culture among a wide range of professionals.


During the meeting, they talked about some cool projects that could happen with help from international partners.
