Open Lecture in Commemoration of the 80th Anniversary of the Forced Deportation from Ukrainian Lands
An event was held for DSUIA cadets, conducted by Yuliia ZAVHORODNIA, Associate Professor of the Department of Theory and History of State and Law, Constitutional Law, and Human Rights, Associate Professor, Police Lieutenant Colonel, and PhD in Law.

On September 8, 2024, Ukraine marks the 80th anniversary of the beginning of the deportation of Ukrainians from Lemkivshchyna, Nadsiannia, Kholmshchyna, Southern Podlachia, Liubachivshchyna, and Western Boykivshchyna during the years 1944-1951.
The open lecture, dedicated to the victims of deportation on the territory of our country, began with the speaker’s original verses and a moment of silence.

Professor Anatolii POPOVSKYI, a Doctor of Philological Sciences and Professor of the Department of Language Training, addressed the cadets. He shared the horrific causes and consequences of the deportation of Ukrainians from their native lands, presenting a book on the history of the Lemkivshchyna deportation.
