On September 30th, the head of the Department of Criminology and Psychology of the university, lieutenant colonel of police Valentina Goroshko and acting Dean of the Faculty of Training Specialists for Pre-Trial Investigations, Police Colonel Oleh Donchenko organized and held a public lecture for the cadets of the 3rd and 4th years of the faculty on "Tactical features of interrogation of a suspect in criminal proceedings initiated on the facts of intentional homicide.

An interesting lecture and useful discussion was provided by the Deputy Head of the Office of Criminal Investigations of the Headquarter of the National Police of Ukraine in Odessa region, the Head of the Investigation of Crimes against Life and Health, Lieutenant Colonel Inna Vlasova, who has many years of experience in investigative units.

Thanks to the interesting and detailed stories of Inna Vlasova, the cadets had the opportunity to deepen their knowledge of investigators and get acquainted with the peculiarities of obtaining testimony from victims, witnesses and suspects during the investigation of criminal proceedings in this category of crimes.

Inna Vlasova successfully diluted the theoretical provisions with interesting examples from her rich  practical activity, noting the most common mistakes made by investigators during the investigation, methods of their solution and prevention in further professional activities.

During the lecture, the cadets had the opportunity to implement the acquired knowledge during an impromptu interrogation of the suspect.

The cadets did not remain indifferent and asked sharp questions. The lecture turned out to be interesting and productive.

Future police officers are grateful for the organization of the event and will look forward to such meetings with practitioners, because after this lecture everyone has a lot of positive emotions and new knowledge.
