Experts highlight that regular sports training plays a crucial role in veterans' rehabilitation, with table tennis being one of the effective types of adaptive sports. Weekly table tennis training sessions have been held at DSUIA for over six months, bringing together enthusiasts of the sport. Training is led by Ukraine's table tennis champion Vasyl KOVAL.
During the sessions, veterans practiced ball-serving techniques, strokes, defensive maneuvers, proper paddle grip, and more. Adaptive table tennis training not only improves respiratory and cardiovascular health but also positively impacts morale, fostering a sense of camaraderie within the group.
The event was held as part of the Ministry of Internal Affairs’ "Friendly Support" initiative by the Department of Education, Science, and Sports.
