Viacheslav Iskhakov, a graduate of the Barrier-Free Driving School at Odesa State University of Internal Affairs, successfully passed his practical exam at the Territorial Service Center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and received a category «B» driver's license.

A 51-year-old soldier was seriously wounded while defending his country in the Donetsk region. After lengthy treatment and rehabilitation, he set himself a new goal: to learn to drive a car so that he could once again experience freedom of movement, mobility, and independence in his daily life.

According to Viacheslav, training at OSUIA driving school was an important step on the road to recovery. A professional instructor helped him quickly master the practical skills of driving an adapted vehicle.

«It was a little difficult because you have to steer with your left foot, and I'm right-handed. But thanks to the driving school, I managed it and my dream came true», says Viacheslav.

He adds that obtaining his driver's license was not only a new step toward independence, but also a symbol of resilience: «You need to find yourself, find what interests you in life, and when you find it, things will be easier».
