On January 30, 2025, a graduate of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs Yaroslav FALIUSH was killed during a combat mission in Pokrovsk direction of Donetsk region as a result of a direct hit by the Russian KAB. He is survived by his wife and eight-year-old daughter.

Yaroslav FALIUSH was a platoon commander, senior officer of the artillery battery of the 79th Airmobile Battalion of the 79th Airmobile Brigade. In 2013, he graduated from Kremenchuk Flight College and entered Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs. After graduation, he worked in the police, and with the beginning of the full-scale invasion in August 2022, he voluntarily joined the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Yaroslav has always emphasized that defending his homeland is his duty: “If I'm not here, the enemy will move on.”

Let us remember our heroes-defenders, their courage, resilience and patriotism! Their feat will forever remain in our memory and hearts! Eternal Glory to them!
