On December 1-3, in order to ensure the practical orientation of the educational process, Acting Head of the Department of Criminal Law of the National Academy of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, Police Major Olena Matiushenko organized field optional classes in the discipline "Criminal Law" for future operatives – cadets of 308-310 study groups of Educational and Scientific Institute № 1. A meeting was held with the participation of the Head of the Kyiv-Sviatoshynskyi Directorate General of the National Police in the Kyiv Region, Police Colonel Andrii Tkach, and the Deputy Head of the Department, Head of the Criminal Police Department of the Kyiv-Sviatoshynskyi Police Department, Police Captain Ihor Honcharuk.

Extraordinary and sometimes extreme events, which fill the daily work of practitioners of the criminal units of the National Police of Ukraine, as well as the study of modern methods and forms used by criminals in confronting law enforcement agencies, show that future professionals need experience and practical guidance. Therefore, extracurricular activities, which lasted for three hours, passed very quickly, raising questions for many students.

Professional growth of future law enforcement officers begins in an educational institution, where there are all the necessary conditions for knowledge gathering, self-development, scientific and creative activities. At the same time, the involvement of practical staff in the educational process provides an opportunity for cadets to communicate with senior colleagues in a calm, friendly and informal atmosphere, get valuable advice and interesting experience.
