With a minute of silence, those present honored the bright memory and heroic feat of law enforcement officers who gave their lives in the fight for a free, independent Ukraine, all those who fell while performing combat missions and official duties, as well as civilians - victims of Russian aggression.

Rector, Police General of the Third Rank Valerii SOKURENKO thanked the police officers, university employees and veterans for their conscientious work, education of new generations of police officers, dedication to the cause, love for Ukraine, resilience in the face of the challenges of wartime and daily work for the safety of citizens. He wished health, goodness, victorious peace and presented awards.

The celebrations ended with a performance by the drummers' unit and a vocal composition "Police is a calling, it is destiny."
