Two more students of the barrier-free driving school of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs - Maksym Kulyk and Maksym Mykhailyshyn - successfully passed the practical exam at the service center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and received a driver's license, taking an important step towards greater independence.

They are united not only by their name, but also by the perseverance with which they went to their goal. At the same time, each of their stories is special.

After being seriously wounded, numerous operations and long-term rehabilitation, the participant of hostilities Maksym Kulyk did not give up on his dreams and plans. Studying at the barrier-free driving school became another step for him towards an active life and new opportunities. "If I set a goal for myself, I will definitely achieve it," says Maksym.

For Maksym Mykhailyshyn, who uses a wheelchair as a result of a domestic injury, obtaining a driver's license was another step towards greater independence. He studies, works, plays sports and is convinced that driving opens up new horizons. “For me, driving is mobility, independence and new opportunities,” he notes.

The stories of Maksym Kulyk and Maksym Mykhailyshyn are different, but they are united by the main thing - the desire to live actively, achieve their goals and not stop in the face of difficulties.

The barrier-free driving school of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs operates within the framework of the all-Ukrainian project “Barrier-free driving schools”. The project is implemented by the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine within the framework of the National Strategy for Creating a Barrier-Free Space in Ukraine at the initiative of the First Lady of Ukraine Olena Zelenska.
