English Classes under the U.S. Department of State Programme Launched at KhNUIA
НАВС

Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs has launched a 12-week online course under the U.S. Department of State’s Virtual English Language Educator Program (VELEP). This marks the university’s third consecutive participation in this international educational initiative.

The programme officially opened with the first two classes conducted by American English language educator Brandi Griffin. Two groups of students from Educational and Research Institutes No. 1–5 joined the course. The programme provides participants with opportunities to develop their professional English skills, engage in live communication with a native English speaker, and gain insights into the U.S. educational environment.

The course participants were welcomed by Olena Stativka, Head of the Department of Language Training, and Tetiana Matiushkova, Head of the International Cooperation Office. They highlighted the joint efforts of the university’s units in implementing the programme and encouraged participants to make the most of the course not only to improve their language skills but also to exchange experience with international colleagues.

The participants have a range of engaging classes, communicative activities, and opportunities for professional and language development ahead.

Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs expresses its sincere gratitude to its American partners, the U.S. Embassy in Ukraine, and the Regional English Language Office (RELO Kyiv) for continuing this valuable cooperation and supporting the university’s educational initiatives.
