A binary lesson on the topic “Use of Restraints” was conducted for the cadets of the by senior lecturers of the Department of Tactical and Special Training Oleksandr Skliar and Valerii Shvets together with a representative of the KORD special police unit. They noted that during the legal regime of martial law, if it is necessary to repel an attack that threatens the life or health of a police officer or another person, as well as to eliminate danger in a state of emergency or during the detention of a person who has committed an offense and/or resists a police officer, a police officer has the right to use improvised means. The cadets were told about the peculiarities of using improvised means of restraint, such as a belt, rope, with emphasis on the possibility of using duct tape and clothing (shirt, scarf, handkerchief).
The importance and understanding of the necessary defense or emergency in police work is extremely important, as police officers work in a high alert mode.
