А youth sports competition, the Powerlifting Cup, took place in Odesa. The purpose of the event was to promote a healthy lifestyle and physical activity among young people.

The team of the Odesa State University of Internal Affairs consisted of three cadets and two teachers.

In a fierce competition, the places were distributed as follows:

- In the women's bench press, 1st place went to Alina Ohorodnyk, a 4th-year cadet at the Faculty of Training Specialists for Pre-trial Investigation Bodies of the National Police of Ukraine;

- In the men's bench press in the weight category up to 90 kg:

1st place went to Andrii Podufalov, a 4th-year cadet at the Faculty of Training Specialists for Pre-trial Investigation Bodies of the National Police Academy;

Ihor Kozenko, a 4th-year cadet at the Faculty of Training Specialists for Pre-trial Investigation Bodies of the National Police of Ukraine, took 3rd place.

- In the bench press exercise among men in the weight category over 90 kg, Yevhenii Proskurnia, senior lecturer at the Department of Tactical and Special Physical Training, took 2nd place.

- In the biceps curl exercise in the weight category up to 90 kg, Andrii Podufalov took 3rd place; 

- In the biceps curl exercise in the age group over 35 years old: 

1st place went to Andrii Delihioz, lecturer at the Department of Professional and Special Disciplines;

Yevhenii Proskurnia took 2nd place.
