On April 23, athletics competitions were held as part of the XXXIII Regional Student Games among higher education institutions of III-IV accreditation levels.

The competition was attended by nine teams from universities in Odesa. Nine teams from Odesa universities participated in the competition and demonstrated a high level of physical fitness.

The program of the competition included 100 m, 200 m, 400 m, 800 m, 1000 m, 1500 m and long jump, high jump, shot put, 4x100 m relay.

The team of Odesa State University of Internal Affairs took 2nd place in the team competition.

In the individual championship among women:

Alina Podorozhniuk took 2nd place in the 200 meters; 

Alina Ohorodnyk took 3rd place in the 100 meters;

the girls took 3rd place in the relay race. 

In the individual championship among men:

Volodymyr Peresunko took 1st place in the 800 m and 1500 m;

Nazar Komarov took 1st and 2nd place in the 100 meters and long jump, respectively;

Oleksandr Muntianu took 3rd place in the 800 meters; 

Serhii Lisnichenko took the 1st place in the 400 meters; 

Vladyslav Tutov took 2nd place in the 200 meters and Artem Starushchenko won 3rd place;

Stepan Hutsulenko took the 3rd place in the 1500 meters; 

Rostyslav Ivanov took 1st place in the shot put; 

in the relay race, the boys took 1st place as a team.

Thus, the students of OSUIA once again demonstrated that our university trains really talented athletes who are ready to participate in competitions of various levels.

The team, winners and prize-winners were awarded a cup, medals and diplomas of the respective degrees.
