The event was conducted by Police Major Nataliia URMAN, Senior Inspector for Special Assignments of the Department for Human Rights Monitoring in Police Activities of the National Police of Ukraine; Police Captain Lesia ROMANENKO, Senior Inspector of the Domestic Violence Counteraction Sector of Dnipro District Police Department No. 1; and Police Senior Lieutenant Valeriia MELNYK, Inspector of the Domestic Violence Counteraction Sector at the same department.
Additionally, students learned about the key activities of police units in Dnipropetrovsk region related to the prevention, investigation, and resolution of offenses involving domestic violence. Police Senior Lieutenant Yelyzaveta VILKHOVA, Inspector of the Organizational and Analytical Department of the Main Directorate of the National Police in Dnipropetrovsk region, elaborated on these areas.
During the training, students actively participated in discussions, analyzed practical cases, defended their viewpoints, and deepened their knowledge on preventing and addressing violence.
Reference: The international campaign "16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence" is held annually to raise awareness about violence in all its forms and to protect human rights. The initiative brings together millions of people in over 180 countries worldwide. DSUIA remains an active participant in this annual campaign.
