Employees of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs, together with instructors from the NGU brigade ‘Chervona Kalyna’, conducted a practical training lesson on the organization of defensive combat for final year cadets.

Future officers practised the procedure for organizing service at a strong point, the distribution of duties, securing individual and group positions, marking fire sectors and establishing communication between positions and headquarters. Engineering and medical units trained in preparing defensive obstacles, evacuating the wounded, and interacting with headquarters in dynamic conditions.

The tactical part of the training included practising actions during a simulated enemy attack – squad and platoon commanders set tasks, corrected the actions of units and coordinated fire, ensuring the coordination of all units.

"We set ourselves the task of developing not only combat skills, but also confidence and mutual understanding within the team. Everyone must know their role and act decisively, without hesitation. This is what ensures effectiveness and saves lives on the battlefield," said Bohdan IVANYUK, Deputy Director of the Educational and Research Institute No. 2.

The training session demonstrated the cadets' high level of readiness to act quickly, cohesively and professionally in conditions close to real combat.
