Cadets from the Faculty of Training of Specialists for Pre-trial Investigation Bodies of the National Police of Ukraine of OSUIA took part in a meeting with Svitlana Kobzar, an employee of the Political Affairs and Security Policy Division of the School of NATO.

The theme of the meeting was «NATO and Ukraine: Strategic Partnership in the Context of War and Future Integration».

The following issues were discussed during the session:

- NATO's fundamental goals — collective defense, crisis management, and security;

- the transformation of the Alliance after russia's illegal invasion of Ukraine in 2022;

- increasing the level of military, humanitarian, and medical support for Ukraine;

- Change in NATO's strategic concept: from a «peace environment» to recognition of real threats and rethinking the role of partnerships;

- Importance of political dialogue, interoperability, cybersecurity, and the environmental component of security;

- Ukraine's role as a key partner of the Alliance, moving closer to full membership;

- Practical assistance from NATO: training Ukrainian military personnel, participating in international missions, assisting with reforms and capacity building.

Participants had the opportunity to learn more about NATO cooperation tools in the areas of rule of law, security, and defense.
