The library fund of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs was replenished with a special scientific publication – monograph «25 years old, which became history and create the future (to the 25th anniversary as a National University)».

Among the authors – are the Rector of KhNUIA Valerii Sokurenko, the First Rector Oleksandr Bandurka (1992-2003; 2010-2012), the Rector Serhii Husarov (2012-2015), as well as one of the First Professors of the university, Volodymyr Hrechenko.

The publication is a thorough study of the history of the formation and development of the university, which highlights the stages of the formation of the system of training law enforcement personnel, the transformation of the educational institution and its modern role in the training of specialists for the security and defense sector. Special attention is paid to the activities of the university in the conditions of the war for the independence of Ukraine.

In his introductory speech, the Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Ihor Klymenko noted the high level of training of specialists, the professionalism of the scientific and pedagogical team and the significant contribution of the university to strengthening the security of the state. He emphasized that despite wartime hardships, the university ensures the continuity of the educational process, and its graduates perform official tasks with dignity.

The monograph is of interest to scientists, law enforcement officers, education seekers and everyone who is interested in the history of the development of the MIA of Ukraine.
