Interactive classes for students on the topic “Barrier-free. Inclusion. Emotional intelligence. Tolerance and prevention of stigmatization” are ongoing at Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs, conducted by psychologists from the Department of Psychological Support of the PSD.

Their goal is to form an understanding of equal opportunities and create an open, accessible environment without prejudice and develop barrier-free interaction skills.

In the format of group work, participants discussed the impact of words, behavior and non-verbal signals on the feeling of social exclusion, analyzed life situations and looked for ways to overcome physical, social and psychological barriers. Special attention was paid to the manifestations of stereotypes and the development of assertive communication.

The result of the classes was the realization that even small changes in communication and behavior help create a more open and friendly environment.
