KhNUIA joined the forensic seminar

A seminar-training "Using modern forensic knowledge during pre-trial investigation" was held at the National Academy of Internal Affairs, organized by the Department of Education, Science and Sports of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine together with the NAIA. The event was held in Kyiv and was dedicated to the current issues of forensic support of pre-trial investigation, the use of modern technical means, forensic activities and international identification standards.

The seminar-training was attended by scientific and pedagogical workers of higher education institutions with specific training conditions that train police officers. Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs was represented by representatives of the Department of Forensic Science and Forensic Science of the ERI No. 1 - Head Vlada Husieva, Professor Oleksii Dereviahin and Associate Professor Anastasia Vuima. The Department of Criminal Process, Forensic Science and Forensic Science of the ERI No. 5 was represented by Head Mykhailo Shcherbakovskyi.

The program of the event covered a range of topical issues related to the state of forensic and forensic support for pre-trial investigation. Participants were introduced to the possibilities of using modern technical and forensic tools during the inspection of the scene of the incident, the use of RUVIS, RECOVER and ANDE RAPID DNA 6C devices, the features of recording the situation at the scene of the incident using UAVs and 3D scanners, as well as international DVI protocols for identifying victims of disasters and hostilities.
