Research and teaching staff of KhNUIA took part in a specialized training "Combating human trafficking: modern challenges and practical solutions", which was held at Lviv State University of Internal Affairs.

The participants of the event discussed modern trends in human trafficking, the features of the application of national and international legislation, mechanisms of interaction between subjects of combating this phenomenon, as well as current approaches to detecting, documenting and investigating relevant criminal offenses.

The practical part of the training included working with OSINT tools, participating in the thematic quest "Shadow in the Network", as well as familiarization with the capabilities of the analytical platforms YouControl and YouControl World for identifying risks of human trafficking, analyzing international ties and financial activity. The speeches of international experts devoted to the European experience in combating organized crime and human trafficking aroused particular interest.

The seminar ended with simulation exercises and consideration of practical cases on the investigation of human trafficking, which contributed to the improvement of the professional competencies of the participants and the exchange of practical experience between representatives of higher education institutions of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine.
