The results of the prestigious THE Impact Rankings 2025 world ranking have been published, which is an important indicator of the social responsibility of universities and assesses their contribution to sustainable development. The ranking includes higher education institutions from around the world that demonstrate high performance in achieving the 17 UN Sustainable Development Goals, in particular in combating poverty, hunger, providing quality education, achieving gender equality, etc.
The ranking methodology is based on the analysis of scientific research of universities in the field of Sustainable Development Goals (based on data from the Elsevier platform), and also evaluates socially oriented programs, impact on society, efficiency of resource management and development of partnerships.
Impact Rankings 2025 assessed the activities of 2526 universities from 130 countries (in 2024 – 2152 from 125 countries). This year, 55 Ukrainian universities have already been included in the ranking (in 2024 – 42).
Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs is the only one among the higher education institutions of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, which is represented in the international ranking THE Impact Rankings 2025. This year, it took place in the group 1501+.
