Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs hosted the International Scientific and Practical Student Conference in Foreign Languages on the topic "Current Issues in the Development of the Security and Defense Sector (International Experience)". The conference was opened by the First Vice-Rector of KhNUIA Viktor Vasylenko. He congratulated the participants of the scientific meeting and emphasized that the discussion of current issues of the development of the security and defense sector during a full-scale war is necessary to ensure an effective response to threats, strengthen international cooperation and increase Ukraine's defense capabilities. Viktor Vasylenko wished the participants of the event fruitful work, inspiration and new scientific achievements.

More than 150 cadets and students of higher education institutions of Ukraine took part in the event: representatives of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs, National University of Civil Defense of Ukraine, National Academy of Internal Affairs, Kharkiv National University of the Air Force named after Ivan Kozhedub, National Academy of the State Border Service of Ukraine named after Bohdan Khmelnytskyi, State University «Kyiv Aviation Institute», National Law University named after Yaroslav Mudryi, as well as representatives of foreign countries such as Great Britain, the Netherlands, the United States of America, Turkey and the Republic of Poland.

The participants of the conference considered current theoretical and practical issues related to maintaining the security environment under martial law in Ukraine, improving legislation and law enforcement practice, aimed at increasing the effectiveness of the activities of the National Police and other state bodies involved in ensuring public safety and order.
