KhNUIA cadets master the basics of topography and orientation
While completing a specialized route, students of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs, under the guidance of scientific and pedagogical workers of the Department of Tactical and Special Training and an instructor of the 120th Separate Territorial Defense Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, practiced orientation using maps.
Future law enforcement officers learned how to read topographic maps, study the terrain, measure distances and heights, and establish coordinates. They also mastered target designation, movement in azimuth, determining landmarks, and working with a compass.
