НАВС

A student of the barrier-free driving school of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs, Maksym Mykhailyshyn, who has been using a wheelchair for eight years due to a domestic injury, has started a practical training course. Despite life’s trials, he leads an active lifestyle, goes in for sports, works and confidently moves towards new goals. He says that physical activity helps maintain motivation, discipline and inner balance.

Maksym is 26 years old. He is currently studying at Kamianets-Podilskyi State Institute of Education and Rehabilitation, a higher education institution, where he learned about the possibility of studying at the barrier-free driving school of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs.
“I have been interested in cars all my life. For me, driving is mobility, independence and new opportunities,” says Maksym.
In addition to his studies, Maksym works as an administrator in a travel agency and Maliivetskyi Regional Historical and Cultural Museum of Khmelnytskyi Oblast. He is convinced that a person should not limit himself due to circumstances, but rather seek new opportunities for development.

Maksym Mykhailyshyn's story is an example of strength of spirit, perseverance and the desire for a full life, in which there is no place for barriers and stereotypes.
