НАВС

The Youth Capacity-Building Workshop on Taking Action Against Corruption was held in Lviv. The event was organised by the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC), with the support of the Government of Norway, as part of the Global Resource for Anti-Corruption Education and Youth Empowerment (GRACE) initiative.

The workshop brought together young people from various regions of Ukraine, anti-corruption practitioners and experts to discuss current challenges in corruption prevention, fostering a culture of integrity and strengthening the role of young people in implementing anti-corruption initiatives.

At the organisers’ invitation, Kateryna Udod, Anti-Corruption Officer at Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs (KhNUIA), participated as a speaker and delivered a presentation during the panel session entitled “Corruption in Higher Education: Forms, Risks and Prevention Mechanisms”.

Another significant aspect of the international workshop was the participation of Kira Nabilska, a cadet at KhNUIA’s Educational and Research Institute No. 1, who successfully completed the competitive selection process and was selected from among 150 applicants from across Ukraine.

The workshop programme included interactive discussions, corruption risk analysis, teamwork, the application of design thinking methodology, and the development of practical project proposals and recommendations for improving anti-corruption policy.

The participation of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs representatives in this international event provided an opportunity to showcase the University’s practical experience in corruption prevention, facilitate the exchange of professional knowledge and promote the involvement of cadets in international initiatives aimed at strengthening integrity.
