At Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs, commemorative events were held at all locations of the university on the occasion of the Day of Remembrance of the Defenders of Ukraine - the day when soldiers who gave their lives for the independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity of our state are honored.

A general formation was held at the university, which was conducted by the Rector of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs, Police General of the Third Rank Valerii Sokurenko. Those present honored the courage, bravery and sacrifice of Ukrainian soldiers who died defending Ukraine with a minute of silence.

University representatives joined the All-Ukrainian action of remembrance "Sunflowers" - a symbol of honor and gratitude to the Defenders of Ukraine who did not return from the war.

Cadets laid flowers at the monuments and memorial signs erected in honor of the Heroes of Ukraine.

For the staff of KhNUIA, this day is an opportunity to once again remember those who defended Ukraine, its freedom and independence at the cost of their own lives. Their names will forever remain in the history of our state, and their feat will be remembered by generations.
