The university community of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs celebrated the Constitution Day of Ukraine and the 30th anniversary of the adoption of the Fundamental Law of the State with a solemn meeting. The institution’s management, representatives of law enforcement agencies, scientific and pedagogical workers, cadets, students and university employees took part in it.

During the event, those present performed the National Anthem of Ukraine, honored the memory of the defenders of Ukraine with a minute of silence and laid flowers at the monuments to the fallen Heroes.

The Head of the Main Police Department in Vinnytsia region, Yurii Parkhomenko, congratulated the university community on the national holiday and presented departmental awards to university employees for conscientious service, professionalism and significant contribution to the performance of official tasks.

Addressing the staff, the Rector of the university Valerii Sokurenko emphasized that the Constitution of Ukraine is the basis of statehood, and its principles are today defended by Ukrainian servicemen, police officers and all those who defend our country. He expressed sincere gratitude to the state leadership, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, the National Police of Ukraine, as well as state authorities and local governments in the places where the university is temporarily located for comprehensive support of the institution in wartime conditions. Separately, the Rector addressed the cadets and students, wishing them to study hard, constantly improve their professional knowledge and always be responsible for their chosen profession.

During the solemn meeting, employees and students who achieved high results in their work, studies and made a significant contribution to the development of the university were also recognized.

At the end of the event, the cadets presented creative performances dedicated to the Constitution Day of Ukraine.
