The national team of FC “Univer-Dynamo” of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs won the football championship among cadets of higher education institutions of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine.
At the initiative and support of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, a football championship among cadets was held on the basis of the National Academy of Internal Affairs.
The championship was attended by 198 cadets as part of 11 national teams of higher education institutions belonging to the sphere of management of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, as well as higher military educational institutions of the State Border Service of Ukraine and the National Guard of Ukraine.
The opening of the championship began with a minute of silence in memory of civilians and military personnel who died as a result of Russian aggression against Ukraine. After the performance of the National Anthem of Ukraine, the participants solemnly unfurled the State Flag of Ukraine.
The guests of honor at the championship were Yehor Nazimko, Deputy Director of the Department of Education, Science and Sports of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, and Vladyslav Vashchuk, a Ukrainian football player, a player of the Ukrainian national team, a legend of Dynamo Kyiv, and a serviceman of the National Guard of Ukraine.
Addressing the teams, Yehor Nazimko expressed confidence that the participants would demonstrate unity, team spirit, indomitability and a desire to win. He thanked the mentors, coaches and heads of educational institutions for their support of young people and their contribution to the training of future specialists. Vladyslav Vashchuk wished the athletes success, emphasizing the importance of teamwork, mutual support and the role of sport in the formation of a strong character.
For several days, the teams demonstrated a high level of preparation, sportsmanship and the will to win. Each match was intense, dynamic and uncompromising.
According to the results of the tournament, the teams of the National Academy of Internal Affairs and Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs reached the final. The decisive match kept the fans in suspense until the final whistle. The only goal scored brought victory to KhNUIA team, which won the championship title with a score of 1:0.
According to the results of the championship:
1st place – Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs;
2nd place – National Academy of Internal Affairs;
3rd place – Lviv State University of Life Safety.
According to the results of the competition, the best goalkeeper of the championship was recognized as the cadet of KhNUIA Bohdan Sofiiuk.
During the award ceremony, the Director of the Department of Education, Science and Sports of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Oleksandr Tarasenko congratulated the participants, noting their endurance, strength of spirit, determination and perseverance. He emphasized that the MIA system is formed thanks to three important components – education, science and sports, and also thanked the organizers, coaching staff and the judging panel for the high level of the championship.
The championship title became a natural result of the systematic work of the football team "Univer-Dynamo" of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs. Daily training, professional work of the coaching staff, discipline and coordinated team interaction allow the football players to consistently demonstrate high results and worthily represent Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs at the all-Ukrainian level.
During the current season, the university team became the champion of Vinnytsia region, won Vinnytsia Region Cup and the KORD Cup. The victory in the championship among higher education institutions of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine was a logical continuation of a successful season and once again confirmed the high level of training of football players of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs.
