A binary lesson on the topic "Solving intentional murders and other crimes against the person" for cadets of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs who are mastering the educational and professional program K9 "Law enforcement activities" was conducted by Yurii KUZMENKO, First Deputy Head of the Criminal Investigation Department of the NPU.

During the lecture, updated statistical data on the dynamics of murders over the past year were presented, the places of their commission and characteristic features were analyzed, in particular with the use of firearms and explosive devices.

Yurii KUZMENKO defined and examined in detail categorical concepts in accordance with the topic of the lesson, presented the classification and types of murders, the regulatory and legal framework that regulates the interaction of pre-trial investigation bodies with other bodies and units of the National Police of Ukraine in the prevention, detection and investigation of criminal offenses. The stages and tasks of the NPU units regarding the disclosure and investigation of criminal offenses committed by members of organized groups and criminal organizations, as well as crimes in the field of using computers, systems and computer networks and telecommunications networks (cybercrimes) were determined. Particular attention was paid to the analysis of information received by criminal investigation officers during the disclosure of crimes.

The Rector of the university, Valerii SOKURENKO, thanked Yurii Oleksandrovych for the meaningful lecture and noted that Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs is making maximum efforts to raise the standards of modern police education, training law enforcement officers in accordance with current needs and challenges, taking into account the peculiarities of martial law and the need for effective disclosure of crimes in today's extremely difficult conditions.
