KhNUIA: Victory at the hackathon and a grant for community development
НАВС

Cadets of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs took part in the hackathon "Livelihoods+" (Hackathon No. 1) in the direction of "Education, Information and Cultural Exchange", where they took II place.

According to the results of the competition, the team of the Center for Digital Awareness and Cyber Hygiene of the Educational and Research Institute No. 4 received a grant of 5000 euros.

The team captain, third-year cadet Oleksandr Moiko, said:

“Our project aims to preserve and interpret the community’s history using modern digital tools. We aim to create a unified digital space that will make our historical heritage accessible to everyone – from schoolchildren to researchers.”

The team comprises cadets of the Educational and Research Institute No. 4: Oleksandra Honcharuk (second year), Vladyslav Beznoshchenko (second year) and Artem Sunko (first year). The mentor is Dmytro Korniienko, co-founder of the #brobots engineering school.

The cadets’ project involves creating a concept and prototype for a digital resource that will bring together the community’s historical materials, ensuring their systematization and open access. As part of the initiative, plans include developing a platform featuring a chronology of events, an interactive map and elements of digital memory, which will contribute to the development of the educational and cultural environment.

The hackathon took place as part of the ‘Livelihoods+: Economic Integration of Internally Displaced Persons and War Victims’ project, which is being implemented by the International Organization for Migration with the support of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development through the German state development bank KfW. The event was organised by “SYNCHRO SPACE”.
