НАВС

The kick-off meeting of the International Research Consortium for the project "Children Online", implemented within the framework of the SafeOnline program, was held in Krakow (Republic of Poland). Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs was represented by the head of the research laboratory of socio-psychological support, support and rehabilitation of employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the ERI No. 3 Oleksii Serdiuk (project coordinator from the Ukrainian side).
The project "Children Online" is coordinated by the International Research Institute of Policing and Public Protection IPPPRI (Great Britain) in cooperation with the Ukrainian Scientific and Methodological Center of Practical Psychology and Social Work of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine (psychological service).

The project is aimed at studying the behavior of children on the Internet during the war between Ukraine and Russia. Project participants will be able to expand the evidence base on violence against children on social networks and improve organizational and analytical support for Ukrainian services that combat this phenomenon. The program is implemented as an independent research module of the Ukrainian Longitudinal Study (ULS), which KhNUIA has been conducting since 2019 as part of an International Research Consortium.
During the meeting, key aspects of the project implementation were discussed:
• research methodology;
• measurement tools;
• work packages and expected results;
• administrative and financial management.
It was agreed to sign a Declaration of Cooperation between KhNUIA and Anglia Ruskin University (Great Britain), a structural unit of which is the IPPPRI project coordinator.
Participation in such initiatives contributes to strengthening the scientific potential of the university and the integration of Ukraine into the global scientific space.
