An online meeting of representatives of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs and Bangor University (UK) was held, during which they discussed the prospects for the development of international partnership, exchange of experience in the field of education and science, and opportunities for implementing joint initiatives.
University representatives presented the areas of activity of their higher education institutions, considered modern approaches to training specialists, conducting scientific research, as well as the peculiarities of the work of universities in the face of modern challenges.

Special attention was paid to the development of academic mobility of education seekers and scientific and pedagogical workers, participation in international grant programs, preparation of joint scientific publications, holding conferences, seminars and trainings. The parties also discussed opportunities for cooperation in the field of law enforcement education, legal science and professional training of specialists.

The meeting was attended by the Director of the ERI No. 1 Vitalii Romaniuk, Head of the International Cooperation Department Tetiana Matiushkova, Deputy Director of the ERI No. 4 for Educational and Research Activities Yurii Onyshchenko, Head of the Department of Criminal Law and Criminology of the ERI No. 1 Yurii Orlov, Head of the Department of Combating Cybercrime of the ERI No. 4 Oleksandr Manzhai, Head of the Research Laboratory of Social and Psychological Support, Assistance and Rehabilitation of Employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the ERI No. 3 Oleksii Serdiuk, who performs the functions of the NCP “Horizon Europe” in the direction of “Civil Security for Society”.

During the discussion, foreign partners expressed interest in cooperation in such areas as criminal prosecution for the most serious international crimes committed in the context of Russian armed aggression, victimological prevention of violent crime, in particular domestic and gender-based violence, as well as investigation of cybercrimes.
Following the meeting, the parties confirmed their common interest in deepening partnership relations and agreed to continue working on the implementation of international educational and scientific projects.

The development of cooperation with foreign higher education institutions contributes to the integration of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs into the European educational and scientific space, opens up new opportunities for the professional development of students and scientific and pedagogical workers, and also strengthens Ukraine's international ties in the field of education and science.
