The Center for Integrity and Ethics in Higher Education (Integrity Hub) was opened at Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs, created with the assistance of the National Agency for Corruption Prevention and the Integrity Office of the NACP.
It is on the basis of KhNUIA that the Hub will function as a modern educational and communication space aimed at forming a culture of integrity, transparency and responsibility among young people, scientific and pedagogical workers and future specialists in the security and defense sector of Ukraine.
The grand opening of the Center brought together representatives of Vinnytsia region - state authorities, local governments, educational and scientific communities. The event was attended by Deputy Head of the NACP Serhii Hupiak, Deputy Mayor of Vinnytsia Andrii Shportun, Director of the Department of Humanitarian Policy of Vinnytsia RMA Tetiana Kaminshchuk, Head of the Department of Educational Work and Educational Programs of the NACP Iryna Tymchenko, as well as representatives of educational institutions of various levels.
During the opening ceremony, the Rector of the university, General of Police of the Third Rank Valerii Sokurenko emphasized that the formation of the principles of honesty, justice and professional ethics is an integral part of the training of a modern law enforcement officer and civil servant.
The participants of the event discussed current challenges in the field of academic integrity, the need for systematic implementation of anti-corruption practices and the role of the educational environment in educating a young generation capable of acting responsibly and in the interests of the state.
The Center for Integrity and Ethics in Higher Education, established on the basis of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs, will become a platform for the implementation of modern anti-corruption practices, the development of ethical leadership, and the implementation of educational and awareness-raising initiatives.
The newly created Hub will contribute to the unification of the educational community, the exchange of best practices, and the formation of the principles of honesty, responsibility, and transparency among young people, which is an important component of the development of modern Ukrainian education.
