The results of the international non-academic ranking of universities "UniRank University Ranking 2026" and the webometric ranking of repositories "Transparent Ranking of Open Access Repositories 2026" have been published.

The UniRank University Ranking assesses the quality of universities’ online presence and popularity based on independent webometric indicators gathered from authoritative web analytics sources, including Moz, Majestic and SimilarWeb. It covers over 14 000 universities from 200 countries worldwide, including 189 Ukrainian higher education institutions.

Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs climbed 9 places to rank 59th among Ukrainian higher education institutions and 5101st in the global ranking. This is the best result among higher education institutions of the MIA of Ukraine.

The Transparent Ranking of Open Access Repositories, compiled by the Cybermetrics Lab research group, is based on the number of publications in repositories indexed by Google Scholar. It reflects the level of scientific visibility and openness of universities’ research in the global information space.

This ranking features 4493 university repositories, 76 of which are Ukrainian. The list also includes repositories of higher education institutions under the MIA of Ukraine.

According to the results, the repository of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs ranks 29th among Ukrainian higher education institutions and 356th in the global list. It also remains the leader in terms of scientific visibility among institutions of the MIA of Ukraine that train police officers.
