Within the framework of the activities of the Financial Literacy Center, an educational video project was prepared and implemented, dedicated to the procedure for forming and approving the State Budget of Ukraine.
The goal of the project is to deepen knowledge about the budget process, as well as to form a practical understanding of the mechanisms for making state financial decisions.
The video material recreates the main stages of the passage of the draft law on the State Budget of Ukraine: from its preparation and submission to consideration, discussion of budget proposals and amendments, the work of parliamentary committees, plenary speeches of people's deputies and the voting procedure in the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.
A feature of the project was the involvement of cadets in fulfilling the roles of key participants in the budget process, which allowed to bring the educational model as close as possible to real practice. This format of work promotes the development of critical thinking skills, team interaction and public communication, deepens understanding of the mechanisms of formation and implementation of state budget policy and is an important tool for increasing the financial literacy of young people and forming a responsible attitude towards public finances.
