Addressing the audience, the Rector of the University Valerii SOKURENKO noted that on February 19, 1992, the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine approved the State Emblem of independent Ukraine, which has been uniting Ukrainians for many centuries, personifying the connection between generations and the aspirations of the Ukrainian people for their own statehood, unity and independence. The coat of arms of Ukraine is on our flags and weapons as a symbol of unbreakable strength and victorious struggle.

Today, in an extremely difficult time, President of Ukraine Volodymyr ZELENSKYI is doing everything possible to make the country strong and invincible and to bring peace to our land. We support his efforts. Ukraine is a free, independent, democratic state!

The main task of students is to study hard, serve with dignity, protecting the rights and freedoms of citizens, to be true patriots of Ukraine, ready to defend its territorial integrity.
For exemplary performance of duties and conscientious attitude to service, Rector Valerii SOKURENKO and Director of the ERI No. 1 Vitalii ROMANIUK presented shoulder straps to the cadets who were awarded the next special rank of junior police corporal.
