KhNUIA employees improve their skills in mine safety
Oleksii Mikhno, a leading specialist of the ERI #2, took a training course “Training of Trainers in Explosive Ordnance Risk Education” conducted by The Halo Trust in Ukraine, an international mine action operator certified in Ukraine in the field of educational activities.
Participants gained theoretical and practical knowledge on teaching the risks of EO to residents of conflict-affected communities, as well as building sustainable skills of safe behavior among civilians in communities that need such information the most.
After successfully passing the exam, Oleksii Mikhno received a certificate of instructor according to international standards and in cooperation with the Mission, which allows him to conduct EORE for civilians. The knowledge and skills gained will also be used in the educational process at the university.
