he 9th meeting of the Consultation Group on the Children of Ukraine (CGU) was held at the Council of Europe, which was held in Strasbourg and online. A representative of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs joined the discussion.
During the meeting, the participants focused on one of the most pressing problems - violence against children using digital technologies and artificial intelligence in conditions of armed conflict. Head of the Research Laboratory of Social and Psychological Support, Assistance and Rehabilitation of Employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Oleksii Serdiuk, together with the representative of the Anglia Ruskin University Policing Institute for the Eastern Region Anna Markovska, presented the results of the international study "Children Online". The project is dedicated to studying the experiences, knowledge and behavior of Ukrainian children and their parents regarding the risks of online sexual violence during the war.
The initiative is implemented within the framework of the Safe Online program in cooperation with Ukrainian and international partners. Its goal is to strengthen the evidence base for combating online violence and improve the work of services that protect children in the digital environment.
The study is also part of the Ukrainian Longitudinal Study (ULS), which KhNUIA has been conducting since 2019 together with national and international partners.
