A representative of KhNUIA took part in the meeting of the NCP of the Horizon Europe Program in Brussels

       A representative of KhNUIA joined the sixth meeting of the National Contact Points (NCPs) and the Information Day of Cluster 3 of the EU program «Horizon Europe», which was held in Brussels (Kingdom of Belgium).

      The University was represented by the Head of the Research Laboratory of Social and Psychological Support, Assistance and Rehabilitation of MIA Employees of the ERI No. 3 Oleksiy Serdyuk, who performs the functions of the National Contact Point in the direction of "Civil Security for Society". Such an NCP functions at KhNUIA.

During the meeting, the participants summed up the results of the 2025 competitions and discussed preparations for the upcoming Cluster 3 competitions. The main parameters of the work program for 2026 were also presented: the opening of competitions is scheduled for May 6, 2026, and the deadline for submitting applications is – on November 5, 2026.

     Within the framework of the Cluster 3 Information Day, the participants received practical recommendations for the preparation of project proposals. In particular, it referred to international cooperation, the consideration of gender aspects and the social and humanitarian component, the participation of end-users in consortia and the procedure for checking security risks.

Representatives of the European agencies Frontex, eu-LISA and Europol emphasized the importance of cooperation with scientific institutions for the practical implementation of research results.

     «Such meetings help to better understand the priorities of European research programs, establish new partnerships and more effectively help Ukrainian scientists prepare project applications», Oleksii Serdiuk noted.

The development of the network of National Contact Points of the «Horizon Europe» Program is one of the requirements of negotiating section 25 regarding Ukraine's accession to the European Union and contributes to the integration of Ukrainian science into the European Research Area.
