For several years, Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs has been developing educational and scientific cooperation with the Police Training Centre in Legionowo (*Centrum Szkolenia Policji w Legionowie*, Republic of Poland). Representatives of the university and their Polish colleagues have identified promising areas for future interaction, particularly opportunities to implement joint educational and research initiatives.

A key component of this dialogue is the exchange of experience regarding the organization of police training and the legal frameworks governing these institutions in both countries. This fosters a better understanding of the specific features of police training systems and helps identify new formats for collaboration.

A formal step in developing this partnership was the signing of a Declaration on Cooperation in the educational and scientific spheres. The document was signed by the Rector of KhNUIA, Police General of the third rank Valerii Sokurenko, and the Commander of the Police Training Centre in Legionowo, Colonel Robert Żółkiewski.

The signed declaration opens up new opportunities for joint educational and research projects, as well as the exchange of experience and professional practices. The development of this international partnership also strengthens KhNUIA’s academic ties with European police training institutions and fosters the university's continued internationalization.
