On the eve of the Day of Physical Culture and Sports, a solemn awarding ceremony of the best athletes, coaches, veterans and workers of the city's sports industry was held in Vinnytsia.
Among those honored were veteran workers and a cadet of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs:

Oleksandr Hovorukha - champion of Ukraine in indoor football and winner of the 2026 Ukrainian Cup;

Yevhen Savchenko - bronze medalist of the Golden Euroleague in sitting volleyball;

3rd year cadet of the ERI No. 2 Yana Shelemba - Master of Sports of Ukraine of international class in mixed martial arts MMA, Master of Sports of Ukraine in hand-to-hand combat, world champion, two-time European champion, multiple winner and medalist of the championships of Ukraine, Europe and the world. According to the international federation IMMAF, she was recognized as the best female wrestler in the world for 2023-2024.

Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs is proud of its representatives, who demonstrate strength of spirit, professionalism and perseverance, glorifying the university and Ukraine at the national and international levels.
