Veterans of the War of Independence, working at Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs, have successfully started the new season of the Ukrainian Ampfootball Cup 2026. As part of their teams, they took part in cup matches and won, which allowed them to reach the next stage of the competition.

Oleksandr Hovorukha, Assistant Rector for Work with Veterans, who plays for the team «Pokrova AMP» (Lviv), together with his partners won a convincing victory over the team «Khrestonostsi» (Lutsk) with a score of 3:0.

In turn, motor vehicle driver Oles Berynskyi and Senior Lecturer of the Department of Tactical and Special Training Dmytro Hunko, who play as part of the «Vinnytsia AMP» team, defeated «Kryvbas AMP» (Kryvyi Rih) with a score of 3:1.

In the near future, the teams will hold matches of the 1/4 finals of the Cup of Ukraine in amp-football, where they will compete with new opponents to reach the semi-finals.
