The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine football champions—the team representing Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs—have begun their campaign in Vinnytsia Region regular championship for the 2026–2027 season.

In their opening match, the university players secured an away victory against the amateur club FC Fakel (Lypovets), winning 3–1. In the subsequent game, held at KhNUIA home stadium, the team achieved a decisive 4–0 win over FC Tulchyn.

The third match ended in a draw. Playing away, the KhNUIA team tied 2–2 with FC Avanhard (Ladyzhyn), the reigning runners-up of Vinnytsia Region championship.

Goalscorers in these matches included Denys Hnylytskyi, a course commander of the ERI No. 2, and cadets Oleksandr Makitruk, Vladyslav Kotkov, and Andrii Korobkin from the same institute.

Football is more than just a sport. For future law enforcement officers, it serves as a training ground for character, willpower, endurance, teamwork, and leadership.

On the football pitch, every team member plays a specific role, learning to take responsibility for the collective outcome, support teammates, and overcome challenges together.
